In Conversation with, is a new series where we meet inspiring minds to explore their sources of creativity – and, naturally, their favourite coffee moment.

Can you define your aesthetics for us?

My style is fairly modern, where I often combine Nordic design with other influences, such as Italian design. Many places always have a history, and that’s something you always need to relate to. Then I can choose whether my work should reinforce that or mix it with other types of objects, like auction pieces. It becomes a very exciting blend if you don’t only buy new things but also mix in beautiful items that already carry a history.

My work is about turning dreams into reality, which feels like both a very meaningful and beautiful task.

Where do you find inspiration?

I believe the key to finding inspiration lies in being in constant motion and living in variation. My husband and I share our lives between Stockholm and Barcelona. In Barcelona, the Mediterranean and the big city are always present, which helps you see things from new perspectives.

Here in Stockholm, there is instead more of a sense of security and familiarity in how the city and life work, making it a safe place to return to.

Who inspires you in your work?

In my work, I’m inspired by more classical designers such as Le Corbusier. He has inspired me ever since my studies.

Today, inspiration and influences can be found almost everywhere – for example, you might come across a very inspiring project on Instagram and notice details that inspire me in how to solve things in my own projects.

What is your favourite spot in your studio?

The place where I feel most inspired in my studio is the materials library. That’s where all the projects come to life when you choose different material combinations.

What’s a calm coffee moment for you?

It can also be a time for reflection – you take a step back and reflect on your projects to find the next step to take. A calm coffee moment can, of course, also simply be about enjoying a good coffee.
